Today we will have an interview with Lazy Pig. Let’s see what she has to say about her trip to Thailand.
So Lazy Pig, what did you think of Thailand?
It is a warm and humid country. The people are nice ; family of friends also treat you as family. It feels similar to my Chinese family.
Lazy Bear and me really enjoyed the guidance of Lazy Tiger, he showed us a lot. And very comfortable with the car.
The food is new to me: light, salty/savoury, lot of sweetness, spicy and sour. I also ate some interesting herbs… like this smooth leaf which tasted very sour, and Thai basil leaf… yes, interesting herbs.
The rice noodles are very soft, thin and sticky. It has a different texture than rice noodles in the Netherlands. These were more gooey and bouncy.
The street food is really awesome. So many choices… and the preparation is so fast and organised.
In Thailand they use a lot of ice in drinks. (They can handle the cold, in contrary with Chinese people.) A lot of drinks are made by filling a cup with a lot of ice + some fluid. Like ice coffee, Thai milk tea or coke. So you have to drink fast or else you have weakened your drink. Except for water.
Thailand has a lot of impressive temples and tourist spots. They really keep the sight seeing spots up to date and clean.
Good toilets with toilet paper. (Very important!)
I also learned something new about toilets. At public toilets there are water baths next to your toilet, which you can use a bucket for scooping water and flushing your toilets. There are also often a water sprayer/hose to clean your bum with. Just like a bidet.
I learned about some awesome artists from Thailand. The White temple creator: Chalermchai Kositpipat and Black house creator: Thawan Duchanee.
Jetlag?
Yes, the first few days in the Netherlands I already felt sleepy at 19:00. The next morning I woke up at 4:00. I am slowly waking up later. Today I woke up at 6:30. Time to end this interview and maybe go to bed [20:17].
I saw a lot of fun photos while browsing my shots. I still have to organise them. I also made some videos of Thailand. I might edit some and share it here.. but you never know.. maybe I am lazy… Have a good weekend!
